WGN (WORLDEF Growth Network), part of the WORLDEF ecosystem, respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights over it.
Data we collect
When you apply for membership or contact us, we collect the information you provide: full name, work email, company, job title, phone number and any message. We also collect limited technical data (e.g. IP-based country) to improve your experience.
How we use your data
We use your data to review membership applications, respond to your enquiries, organise meetings and events, and improve our services. We do not sell your personal data.
Legal basis
We process your data based on your consent and our legitimate interest in operating and growing the network, in line with KVKK and GDPR where applicable.
IP address, country and phone country
When you use our forms, we record the IP address of your request and the country derived from it (provided by our network provider). We use them for security (detecting abuse and fraudulent applications), rate limiting and country statistics about our applicants. From the phone number you enter we derive its country and its standard international format (E.164) so that our team can reach you correctly. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and understanding where applications come from.
Sharing
Your data may be shared within the WORLDEF ecosystem and with trusted service providers (e.g. hosting, email) strictly to deliver our services. We require them to protect your data.
Notifications to our sales team (Telegram)
To respond to your application quickly, the member of our sales team assigned to you is notified through the Telegram messaging service. This notification contains your full name, phone number, email address and a short summary of your application; it is therefore transmitted to and stored on Telegram's servers, which may be located outside Turkey. Messages exchanged with our team about your application are archived in our panel. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to your application and, where required, your explicit consent given in the application form.
Retention
IP addresses recorded with applications and form visits are deleted automatically 24 months after collection; the derived country is kept for statistics. The archive of Telegram notifications and messages about your application is kept for 24 months. Records of attempts to access restricted areas of the site (security logs) are deleted after 90 days. Other application data is kept for as long as necessary for the purposes above and the periods required by law, unless you ask us to delete it earlier.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, or withdraw consent at any time by contacting us. We respond within the periods required by law.
