Tunç Günbey graduated from Kadıköy Anadolu High School and later from Boğaziçi University with a degree in Tourism Management. During his university years, he founded his first venture, Karia Tourism, providing qualified staffing services for fairs, concerts, and event organizations—gaining early experience in operations and team management. In 2002, he established and operated Big Byte Computers, a technology retail chain in Ontario, Canada. He joined the Reklamz Group in 2007 and, in 2010, became the Direct Sales Group Director, leading initiatives that introduced SMEs to digital advertising. During the same period, he founded one of Turkey’s first regional discount platforms. In 2014, together with his wife Gökçe Günbey and their German partners at Ströer, he founded Digital Partners, an agency that consolidated digital marketing services under one roof. Following a restructuring in 2022, the agency was rebranded as Group DP, operating with its Brandlift, Uplift and P-UX units. Based in Istanbul, Group DP also conducts operations across different markets with offices in London, New Jersey, and Casablanca. At Group DP, Tunç managed teams across media, UX, and creative disciplines, oversaw the operations of six companies, and handed over the CEO role to his spouse in 2023. For the past three years, he has been the Co-Founder and CEO of Cypien AI, focusing on AI-driven and data-centric growth technologies. He develops real-time generative and hyper-personalized commerce solutions that transform brands’ consumer experiences into instant, individualized journeys.
